I'm back! I am going to be posting artwork again because I miss DA and I haven't drawn Kar since I quit DA. I have an insta but I don't expose it in case my art stealer comes back. Good luck finding it, jerk!
Ehem, I'm glad to be back and I hope to be more active on here. How long ago did I leave, maybe a few months ago?
Anyway, let's get on with the second part of this journal.
It will be in this journal (possibly continued in another one) and it will be written like a story! You can quit reading now if you want to but read the bulleted list please before leaving.
Kar sat in the back of the car, staring outside of the window and thinking about how the sky would look like a great painted picture. The girl was only seven at the time and her parents were currently driving to their new home in the city of Chasewood. "Speed trap is coming up, Kasey," Her mother, Lanna, said to her father, Kasey. "I know, we've gone down this road before," Kasey said with an airy laugh. Kar smiled as she saw the city's lights shining brightly up ahead. "Look, we're almost--" There was a loud bang and everything went black for Kar.
Kar jolted up, she was in a lot of pain and the air was heavy with the smell of smoke. She looked around and realized what had happened. Another car had crashed into their car while they were driving. She saw her parents both passed out, possibly even dead. There was blood on the steering wheel of the car and from what she could tell, it was from her dad. She quickly searched for her Mother's cell phone, ignoring the amount of pain running through her body. "Hello, 911, what's your emergency?" "A car crashed into ours! Can you please send help?" Kar asked as tears started to escape her eyes. "Right away, please stay on the phone, miss."
Pretty soon, ambulances and police cars showed up. After a long while of sitting in an ambulance surrounded by paramedics, Kar really just wanted to know if her parents were okay. She decided to ask one of the men. "Sir... are my parents okay?" The little girl asked. He turned to look at her, "Your mother is completely okay from what my co-workers have said, but as much as I hate to say it, they're not to sure about your father," he told Kar in a gentle tone. Kar suddenly felt sick, she wanted to go back home to Adrin with her parents and forget this whole situation happened. But she couldn't.
Days later, Kar and her mother, just her mother, were in there new home. A funeral had been planned already, Kar was scared and she felt sick still. Then the funeral quickly came, ended, and Kar didn't want to do anything. One day while blankly staring out the window, Kar noticed something outside. There was a boy, who looked about her age, getting picked on outside by some older boys. She huffed and quickly slid the window open, "Hey! Leave him alone!" She yelled. The older boys laughed at her before going back to picking on the poor boy.
Kar quickly made her way out of her home and ran up to the boys, "I said, leave him alone!" She yelled. The boys quickly ran away, swearing as they went. "Hello, I'm Kar. Who might you be?" Kar asked the boy. He looked at her. "I-I'm Frog," the boy said shyly. Kar smiled, "I like your name! Where are your parents?" Kar asked kindly. The boy looked down at the ground, a sad look on his face, "I don't know," He answered. Kar frowned, "Y-you don't have parents?" She asked. The boy shook his head, "No, I lost them a while ago."
Kar looked at Frog, forcing a grin onto her face, "I know the feeling. I recently lost my father. Since you don't have parents, maybe you could live with me?" The door to Kar's home opened, "Kar, who are you talking to?" Lanna asked. "Frog!" She answered. Lanna looked at the boy that was with Kar. "Honey, where are your parents?" She asked as she walked out of the house. "He says he doesn't have any," Kar answered for the obviously nervous boy. Frog nodded, "Yeah..."
Lanna smiled at Frog, warmly, "Hmm, how about you live with us? I know we just met you but you seem like a nice boy. I can file an adoption at some point and all that grown-up stuff." Frog smiled, "Really!?" He asked, trying to hide his excitement. "Yes," Lanna simply said in reply. Kar quickly jumped onto Frog and forced him into a big hug, "We're going to be the best sibling friends ever!"
From that point on, Kar and Frog lived as siblings together and became closer and closer. Lanna was happy to see that Kar was able to replace the hole in her heart that her father left with a new brother, and she was happy to have adopted him. Frog and Kar were overall just happy. And that's that, there is no more.
Goodbye!
